Messy Hair, Don't Care
You’ll hear it from me, your mom, your friends, and just about everyone that your wedding photos will last a lifetime, so it makes sense you want them to look good. And as a wedding photographer, I think it’s a great idea to have your hair and makeup done by a professional. It’s nice to feel special, relax, and let someone else do the hard work. But I’m also here to tell you that one out-of-place strand is not the end of the world. It’s so easy for brides to become hyper vigilant about every little detail and not really enjoy the moment, and that’s not what you want to remember about your wedding day.
I’m not recommending you walk down the aisle with the same crazy hairstyle you wake up to after not showering and sleeping in the bed all day because you had the flu! I'm just saying that if you two are in a deep passionate moment together I’m not going to interrupt that moment because you have had a strand of hair out of place. I'll wait until the moment is over then fix your hair before we move on. And here in Colorado we have a lot of wind, so sometimes we just have to go with the flow and embrace the crazy, messy hair!
The most important thing to be thinking about on your wedding day is how in love you are with the person standing next to you. I believe that it’s our imperfections that make us perfect. And that includes your messy hair.
