How He Asked at the Ritz-Carlton - Bachelor Gulch at Beaver Creek Ski Resort in Colorado

Jared proposed to Erin next to the beautiful historic Anderson’s Log Cabin at The Ritz-Carlton at Bachelor Gulch at the Beaver Creek Ski Resort. Proposals are always super nerve-wracking for the person asking the big question! The biggest question I always get asked after I photograph a proposal is... what did she say? Let’s first start out by announcing that she said YES!

Erin arrived in Colorado from Texas with her family for some New Year's celebrations and snowboarding on the mountain. She was under the impression that Jared had to work and wasn't able to make the trip at all! Jared knew how much Erin loves the mountains in the wintertime so he knew it was the perfect place to propose! Jared had been scheming with Erin's mom about planning the proposal. Jared’s plane was supposed to arrive at 10 in the morning so he could get everything ready and propose that afternoon. Unfortunately, because of the winds, his plane was delayed 2 hours so he arrived just in the nick of time. As soon as the shuttle dropped him off at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch we dropped off his suitcase, grabbed the supplies and headed to the historic, quaint Andersons Log Cabin. Inside the cabin he displayed every single photograph that he had ever taken of their time together, it filled the whole table that seated 12 and he even brought her favorite wine from home! It was the perfect way for him to show his love and devotion to their relationship.

Erin's mom and aunt had the task of getting her to the cabin at the right time! They had quite the challenge because she really wanted to go take a nap cuz she had been boarding all week. They talked her into taking a little walk over to the historic Anderson's Cabin and made some excuse how she had to actually go all the way to the cabin. She thought they were being weird but was like, okay, I’m going over there so I can go take a nap after!

And as she was walking along the snow path up to the cabin Jared popped out from behind revealing that he was in Colorado and he had a big question to ask! Erin said this was WAY better than taking a nap! This is How He Asked, on a sunny snowy filled mountain day at a historic adorable cabin!
