Colorado Vendor Spotlight: Compass Rose Floral

I love to introduce you guys to Moriah at Compass Rose Floral! I had the opportunity to photograph their florals at one of my weddings last year and I've got to say, the flowers were fantastic! They are the only eco-friendly never wilting, everlasting flowers! I have to tell you a little secret about the fantastic flowers, they didn't grow in the ground, they are faux flowers! There are some awesome reasons to utilize faux flowers for your wedding day! If you are getting married in the heat, hiking a long-distance to say your vows, keeping your carbon footprint low or needing flexible setup time. They have plenty of design options for you to choose from! I just love so many of them! Learn more about Moriah and her favorite wedding day story below!

Tell me your favorite wedding story - either your own or a client’s!

Our owners Leah and Jaysin were planning their wedding when they got the devastating news, my dad had pancreatic cancer and the doctors estimated he had a month left. They were left with a choice, to have a quick wedding so her dad could be there or to wait until the wedding date we had picked out a year from then. Her dad walked her down the “aisle” at a family friend’s Mediterranean restaurant. They got everything ready in 5 days and even though they had to move a camel statue for them to get married, and the first dance at their wedding was a belly dancer, they had a great time!

What's your best advice for couples on their wedding day?

Relax, make sure you eat and don't sweat the small stuff!
