Rocky Mountain National Park Engagment Photography Session

With an alpine photo start we hit the trails all alone, well with the marmots, deer and elk. This was the perfect setting for this Colorado couple that lives the weekend warrior lifestyle. Trail Ridge Road just opened and the snow capped mountains had only started to melt which made the views epic! We had a blast hiking and exploring around together in Rocky Mountain National Park. This adventurous couple wasn’t afraid of heights, thank goodness! I requested that they climb up a few thing my mother would scream at me about! Allen also accidentally placed his hand on a mini cactus!! Yikes, but the photos with the elk in the background were totally worth it! This is why I just adore my adventurous couples! They are completely down with a little hiking exploring and environmental mishaps!

Jenny & Allen’s proposal story is so adorable! It all starts with Allen going on a business trip back east. It was TURE, he had a business trip that week but then that weekend he told Jenny that he had to stay to finish up a few things. Jenny was not too pleased to have him gone ALL week and then bail on the whole weekend since they already had plans. Somehow Jenny was aware no one else had to stay for work so it just really didn’t connect but she had no clue what was really doing on! Well… it turns out Allen was actually with Jenny’s parents that weekend asking for her hand (eeeek! I still think that’s soooo cute!) and picking out rings!! When he got back he planned a little weekend get-a-way to makeup for bailing that weekend as well as celebrating work things. So they headed to the mountains to get some hiking in! When they made it to the top of Estes Cone, Allen got on one knee (apparently hitting it on a rock, I think it was the nerves!) and proposed! On the engagement photo session we were so excited that we could see from Trail Ridge Road the mountaintop where he popped the big question!
